If you have questions how to use gamepad mappings, ask in the Help section. Otherwise General is a good place for discussions that aren’t a help request.
And if you want to share some useful Tips & Tricks about gamepads, we have a category for that too!
I’m new. Nice to meet you all. I’ve been using c++, c# and python for a bit. I could never really make up my mind and settle on any particular framework or engine for making games. Recently I’ve come to the realization that open source for a game engine just makes the most sense, especially for peace of mind. Working on something for years, makes sense to know whatever you’re using to develop it on will still be around for years to come. I don’t have a lot of free time, and I have a lot to learn about godot, but I look forward to lurking in the forums while I learn. I’m with a lot of users in this thread, that as much as I like discord, sometimes you can’t beat a good old fashioned forum to lurk in.
Long time Unity dev here, Torque before that.
Just thought to say hi, could not find a proper place until I found this thread.
Been trying some things in Godot, and looks so refreshing.
Looking forward to move to Godot pastures, and feeling the thrill that used to feel on gamedev
For now, I will start looking around, learning and seeing how feasible it is to get a job in Godot.
Hi all, I’ve worked in AAA games for 8+ years and I’m looking for an out!
Currently Sr.TechArtist but hopefully going Solo soon
I’ve been very impressed with Godot so far, I can’t wait to run into problems and ask for help here
Happy to help with any TA related work where I can
Hi! New one here too! I’m just “playing around” with Godot and have no specific project in mind. Creating a game from scratch, even with an engine like Godot in combination with Blender is a whole lot of work and takes “forever”. Perhaps one day…
Hi there! I’m just getting started with Godot 4 after learning the fundamentals of game development using C with Allegro and Pygame. The sheer number of resources available is somewhat daunting. I suppose beginning with an extensive documentation session is a good place to start.
Looking forward to join great discussions within the community!
Hello everyone, my name is cooper. I am very happy to join the Godot community. I have read a lot of tutorials on Godot game development and tried it on a small scale. It was a very pleasant experience.
Hello guys! I’m a new Godotter! So excited to join the journey with you and to be taught too! hehe
BTW does somebody know, when if a add a scene (4 instances) into another scene, if i apply some action like a collision (signal: area_entered), then all (4 instances) read everything like they were colliding too? XD insane
Hello! I’m a digital artist and wannabe indie game dev. I’ve made a few projects in the past with Gamemaker Studio, but wanted to start learning with GODOT!
